Fluidsense

IV Infusion Pump
Fluidsense was a start-up company working to create revolutionary change in the IV therapy field. Their product offering was a hand held infusion pump which, because of its versatility, was capable of being the only IV infusion pump that a hospital would need. Using, at the time, state of the art wireless communication the pump was able to avoid errors and add efficiency. The pump was powered by rechargeable batteries and allowed the patient full mobility throughout the day without being encumbered by wires.

Owl was an integral part of the design of both the infusion pump and the disposable cassette which was the fluid interface between the pump, and the patient. Fluidsense’s Design Excellence Award was named after one of Owl founders.
The product won a Time Magazine product of the year award in 2001.
